What you’ll bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience with school-aged children, ideally within a school setting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education law
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings, goals, and documentation
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to support each student's unique needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports as required
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with school staff
- Educate and counsel students, families, and staff on effective strategies for supporting communication skills
