Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Valid or eligible SLP licensure for Alabama public schools
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Creative, adaptable, and committed to evidence-based practices

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services for students PreK–12, in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, create reports, and collaborate on eligibility/placement decisions
  • Participate in IEP meetings, serving as a subject matter expert and resource for staff and parents
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and track student progress
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote a supportive learning environment
  • Engage in professional development and stay current on best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and legal compliance throughout the service process
