This contract opportunity allows you to make a real difference as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, working with an engaged caseload at an established intermediate school. With a compact workweek of two days (15 hours per week), you'll have time to balance your professional responsibilities with personal pursuits, while fostering students' communication skills and academic success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLP licensure with ABESPA AL SLP Certification and/or AL SLP DOE Certification (willing to consider candidates actively obtaining one and currently holding the other)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Expertise working with elementary and middle-grade students, focusing on language, articulation, social communication, and literacy skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy for students in grades 3-6 with speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's IEP goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Consult and collaborate regularly with education staff and families to promote student development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a valued resource on student communication strategies
