Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active SLP license (or eligibility for licensure) in Mississippi required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Prior experience in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and speech therapy best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consult with educators and families about student progress
  • Provide both direct therapy and consultation in accordance with each student’s educational plan
  • Maintain rapport with students while promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment
  • Manage caseload efficiently and adapt to changes as needed
