Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Alabama
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
  • Experience with pediatric populations and school settings admired
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to commute and travel between schools within the district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver direct speech and language services to a K-12 caseload
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Travel to multiple campuses within the district, maintaining flexibility in daily assignments
  • Document student progress and provide regular feedback to all stakeholders
  • Provide consultative support to educators to help maximize student outcomes
