Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Union, MS

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Current state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows will also be considered
• Prior experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students according to IEP goals
• Support teachers and families with effective strategies to enhance communication in the classroom and at home
• Maintain thorough documentation on student progress, therapy sessions, and compliance requirements
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and faculty collaboration sessions
• Stay up to date with professional development and best practices in school-based speech therapy
