Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Bilingual proficiency is a must (English/Spanish preferred)
- Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings highly valued
- Comfort with supervising a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is preferred (note: supervision responsibilities apply only to SLPs, not CFYs)
- Willingness to accept CFY candidates with supervision provided, though those with CCC are preferred
- Commitment to an on-site, full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedule
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention for students in school settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and families, to promote student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Supervise a bilingual SLPA, offering guidance and support in service delivery
- Participate in IEP development and meetings as needed
- Ensure culturally relevant, bilingual communication strategies are used in therapy
