Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth at two vibrant schools near Van Nuys, CA. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech Language Pathologist experienced in pediatric and school-based speech therapy, eager to guide TK-6th grade students on their language journey. The position covers the remainder of the 25/26 school year through June 2026, a dedicated summer session from June 17 to July 17, 2026, and continues with the 26/27 school year through the academic calendar.

Qualifications:

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) 
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy, preferably with TK–6th grade
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies for students with communication challenges
  • Ability to support students presenting with mild articulation, mild-to-moderate language deficits, and both general education and special education needs
  • Commitment to collaborative interdisciplinary work with educators, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and assessments for students aged TK through 6th grade at two school locations
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEPs
  • Document student progress, maintain case records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer support and resources to staff and families for continued student growth
  • Address a spectrum of communication needs including mild articulation errors, language deficits, and some AAC-based interventions
