Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their communication needs in an elementary and middle school setting. A contract opportunity is available for an experienced, certified Speech-Language Pathologist to serve at two school sites, working with students from TK through 6th grade. This position offers a chance to provide vital services across a broad spectrum—from mild articulation concerns to mild-moderate language deficits, including supporting students with AAC needs.
Assignment Details:
- Full-time, with options to work Core School Year (CSY), Extended School Year (ESY), and Next School Year (NSY)
- Serve two campuses: Spend two days per week at one site (hours: 7:45am–3:15pm), three days per week at the other (hours: 8:15am–3:45pm)
- Caseload includes students with mild articulation, mild-moderate disabilities with language deficits, and some needing AAC support
- Positions begin ASAP. Finish the 25/26 year (end June 11), extend into ESY (June 17–July 17), or continue for the following school year (starting August 5)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current SLP certification and active state licensure (required)
- Experience delivering services to elementary/middle school students (TK–6th)
- Familiarity with a range of communication needs, including articulation, language, and AAC
- Commitment to collaborating with educators, staff, and families
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech/language therapy
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned to student needs
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring
- Consult with teachers and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Use evidence-based interventions that foster student growth
