Immerse yourself in a dynamic school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract position offers 40 hours per week and is open to both experienced SLPs—including those holding the CCC credential and those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)—as well as SLPAs. Set in a welcoming community near Venice, FL, the assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through June 1, 2026, aligning seamlessly with the academic calendar.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
- Comfortable managing a caseload of around 60 students
- Collaborative spirit to work with educators, families, and other specialists
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in groups
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of student performance and services rendered
- Support and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
- Promote a positive, inclusive, growth-oriented atmosphere for all learners
