High School Speech Language Pathologist in Vernon Hills, IL

This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2026, through June 2, 2027, offering a fulfilling way to grow your expertise while making a difference in the lives of high school and transitional-aged students.

You will be part of a collaborative environment focused on accessibility, independence, and student growth. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, providing work-life balance and a consistent routine.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current CCC-SLP certification
• Previous experience working with high school and/or transitioning-aged students
• Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and troubleshooting assistive technology for communication
• Experience supporting students with complex communication and special needs
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop intervention plans tailored to each student’s communication goals
• Integrate assistive technology into therapy and classroom settings to enhance student participation
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services as part of IEP teams
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure carryover of therapy strategies
• Document student progress, maintaining compliance with all required reporting measures
• Support transitions between school stages by fostering independence and self-advocacy skills
