In this full-time position (37.5 hours per week, 7:30am to 3:00pm), your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will profoundly impact students' communication, academic success, and independence.
This role is focused on delivering services within a dynamic high school setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster growth and empowerment for students who utilize assistive technology. Candidates with experience in assistive technology and addressing complex needs are strongly preferred, as you will play a pivotal role in adapting and individualizing communication supports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) credential
- Proven experience supporting high school-aged individuals, including students with assistive technology needs
- Demonstrated skill working with individuals with complex communication challenges
- Excellent collaborative, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusion, independence, and student confidence
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized communication and therapy interventions using assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings to develop goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
- Provide training and support for staff and families in the use of assistive technology
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress
