Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Oregon Speech Language Pathologist license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in school-age children
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse learning needs and environments
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying areas of strength and need
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs), collaborating with teachers, families, and other school professionals
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to help students achieve communication goals within the classroom setting
  • Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as a valued member of the support team
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by providing staff training and supporting district-wide speech/language initiatives
