Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students along the beautiful Southeast Florida Coast. Multiple full-year and maternity leave assignments are available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists interested in making a difference in both elementary and secondary school settings. You’ll work on-site within one to two schools, providing comprehensive speech and language services across K-12 populations, including mainstream, ASD, EBD, and specialized resource therapy caseloads.
Assignments offer variety: choose from full-year positions or join as a travel contractor to provide valuable coverage during key maternity leaves. Scheduling is full-time, 35 hours per week, following the academic calendar from August to June. The schools pride themselves on supportive teams—some sites pair you with collaborative SLPs and SLPAs, while others allow you to shine as the sole specialist.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license (CCC required)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Familiarity with a range of diagnoses, including ASD, EBD, and InD
- Comfortable managing moderate-sized caseloads across varying grade levels
- Proficient with documentation, progress reports, and IEP processes
- Able to meet fingerprint/background check requirements (fast-track available)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite speech and language therapy services to assigned students
- Develop and monitor individualized IEP goals
- Collaborate with school teams, teachers, and families
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and ongoing progress documentation
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and support staff, when applicable
