Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting one dedicated K-8 school serving students from preschool (PK) through 8th grade. In this contract-based, on-site opportunity, you’ll provide resource therapy services to a diverse caseload, helping students improve their communication skills and achieve academic success.
This role is perfect for an experienced SLP-CCC seeking a focused assignment with a manageable caseload, working just two days per week for a total of 14 hours. You’ll work independently as the only SLP on campus, collaborating with teachers and staff to deliver high-quality interventions and make a difference for students of all ages.
What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, active Florida SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, particularly with Pre-K through middle school students, is preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting (ACHC Clearinghouse preferred for candidates previously printed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy sessions for students in grades PK-8
- Assess, evaluate, and document student progress to determine therapy goals and treatment plans
- Serve as the primary speech-language resource for the school, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and support special education teams as needed
