Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near Vero Beach, FL. This on-site assignment offers the chance to make a direct impact in students’ communication development while collaborating with dedicated colleagues.

You’ll be assigned to only one school site per assignment, either at a K-8 academy (Palm Pointe) or a high school (Ft. Pierce Central), providing targeted services to an engaged student population. Both placements are maternity leave coverage—an excellent way to immerse yourself quickly into a dynamic, supportive school community. At Palm Pointe, you’ll work alongside another SLP and serve a K-8 caseload with multiple ASD units. At Ft. Pierce Central, you’ll partner with an SLPA on-site two days a week and serve high schoolers eager for your expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Florida SLP (CCC) license required
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ASD populations and a collaborative approach to special education teams
  • Ability to quickly complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and credentialing as required by the district
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to evaluations
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports within school timelines
  • Support students’ communication growth and educational participation
