Qualifications & Desired Background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Active SLP licensure (or eligibility) in New York State
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving caseloads and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions both individually and in group settings
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers, families, and school staff
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
