Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active SLP licensure (or eligibility) in New York State
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving caseloads and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions both individually and in group settings
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, families, and school staff
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
