Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Villa Park, IL

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a School Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment through December. This role covers an FMLA maternity leave and offers an exceptional opportunity to support a vibrant school community near Villa Park, IL.

Bring your expertise in school-based speech-language therapy and passion for fostering communication skills in young learners. You’ll work closely with students, families, and educational staff to create tailored plans that address individual needs and promote academic success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates welcome
• Experience in an elementary school setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and caseload management
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
• Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress
• Document student performance and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students within the school environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
