Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license for Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but experienced CFYs will also be considered
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, collaborating closely with faculty and parents
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and document services according to school and professional guidelines
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing student support plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
