This role offers a manageable caseload capped at 60, primarily consisting of mild needs, including some AAC, autism spectrum disorders, and nonverbal students.
We welcome candidates holding their SLP-CCC, as well as recent graduates seeking their CFY or those certified as an SLPA. You’ll benefit from a strong professional network, a generous hourly rate between $42–$52 based on experience, and a chance to work within a district that values collaborative support. There are currently no district SLPA positions staffed, providing an opportunity to bring fresh perspective and expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina SLP license (or eligibility; may start while pending)
- South Carolina LLR issued license
- Teaching certification (can begin process if not in-hand)
- Experience or solid interest in pediatric populations and school-based services
- Competency or willingness to work with AAC, ASD, and nonverbal students
- New graduates (CFs) and SLPAs are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver direct therapy and conduct evaluations for K–5 students
- Manage a caseload of up to 60, focusing on mild speech-language needs
- Contribute expertise to the collaborative SLP team
- Maintain thorough documentation for student progress and IEP meetings
- Participate in school and multidisciplinary staff conferences
