Step into a dynamic school-based setting, where your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology will make a direct impact on students' lives during the 26-27 school year. This is a contract, onsite role with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week. Serving a diverse group of students aged 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities, you’ll be instrumental in supporting communication development and overall educational access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide speech-language therapy, addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding needs, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing appropriate to individual student needs
- Produce thorough, insightful reports from assessments and classroom observations
- Work closely with students on IEP objectives and monitor progress
- Serve as a collaborative partner with educators and parents, sharing vital information on student development and strategies for support
- Adjust approaches and problem-solve to meet evolving student needs
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and Teacher’s License from the Department of Education (IDOE)
- Preference given to candidates with 1-2 years of relevant SLP experience
- Strong communicator with excellent teamwork skills
- Proven flexibility and creative problem-solving abilities
