Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite Speech-Language Pathologist role is set near Walkerton, IN, providing 35 hours of weekly engagement in a school environment. You’ll work within a passionate team, making a measurable impact for students ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy tailored to individual student needs
- Address areas including augmentative communication, assistive technology, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and language delays
- Conduct thorough diagnostic and evaluation assessments
- Prepare clear, insightful reports based on observations and assessments
- Develop IEP objectives and support student progress toward them
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to provide holistic support
- Foster consistent, open communication and maintain thorough documentation
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license from the Department of Education (IDOE)
- Preferably 1-2 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience in a school setting
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive within a collaborative team
- Adaptable, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving in fast-paced settings
