Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Eligible for, or currently hold, active Texas SLP licensure
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous school-based experience is an advantage
  • Proficient with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate and diagnose a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students in PreK-12
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, SLPAs, OTs, PTs, and school staff to ensure wrap-around support for each student
  • Keep accurate records and monitor student progress, providing timely updates and reports as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
