Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) will empower students to overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience working with PreK and/or elementary-aged children in educational settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- A commitment to evidence-based practices and inclusive approaches
- Experience or familiarity with Applied Behavioral Interventions (ABI) and Verbal Behavior Development (VBD) techniques is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to PreK and elementary students
- Complete thorough evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and data-driven discussions to advocate for students’ needs
- Utilize ABI and VBD methodologies as appropriate to promote communication development
