Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
  • Demonstrated experience with pediatric speech therapy, preferably in school or clinical settings
  • Skilled in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable supporting students with various abilities and communication challenges, including those in self-contained classrooms

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students within assigned self-contained classrooms
  • Assess, diagnose, and document speech/language disorders for students with varying needs, including those in nursery/pre-K
  • Collaborate with special educators, occupational therapists, and families to implement and adapt individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain thorough, up-to-date records of student progress
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment to aid students in achieving academic and communicative success
  • Participate in professional development and actively contribute to team discussions to enhance service delivery
