Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving PK-8 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a supportive school environment near Warren, MI. This full-time position spans two buildings, with flexible start and end times to accommodate your needs and maintain a healthy work-life balance. You’ll work closely with an enthusiastic staff that values collaboration and inclusion for their contracted professionals. Caseloads currently average around 50 students, giving you the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of children throughout their formative years.

The school year will begin soon, and candidates are encouraged to start a day or two in advance. This allows for a seamless transition and the chance to connect with faculty and students before the official first day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active SLP-CCC certification
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with PK-8th grade students
  • Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in a diverse student population
  • Provide direct therapy sessions as well as consultative services to staff and families
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
