Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP licensure for practice in Michigan
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Adaptability for working across multiple schools and dynamic caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple school buildings with managing caseload overages, providing speech-language therapy services as needed
  • Conduct thorough student evaluations for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and administration to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families about student needs
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed (mileage reimbursement policies may apply)
