Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP licensure for practice in Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Adaptability for working across multiple schools and dynamic caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Support multiple school buildings with managing caseload overages, providing speech-language therapy services as needed
- Conduct thorough student evaluations for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and administration to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families about student needs
- Travel between assigned schools as needed (mileage reimbursement policies may apply)
