Embark on an enriching contract opportunity shaping students’ communication skills within a school setting. This full-time Speech Language Pathologist position offers meaningful engagement from now through June 4, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday, 37.5-hour weekly schedule.
You’ll support a diverse caseload tailored to your experience, making an impact alongside a collaborative school-based team. The role welcomes either two fully qualified SLPs, or a partnership between one SLP and one SLPA—note, a supervising SLP is required if you select the SLP/SLPA model. Please note the district does not accept Voco SLP services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience (highly valued)
- Skilled in implementing and troubleshooting assistive listening technology
- Demonstrated ability to supervise SLPA staff if applicable
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate, plan, and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to diverse student needs
- Document progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage families in a student-centered manner
- Serve as a mentor and supervisor to SLPA staff, ensuring quality service delivery (if applicable)
- Integrate assistive listening technology into therapy plans to maximize student accessibility and learning
