Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working in K-12 schools preferred
- Strong ability to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication with students, families, and educational staff
- Organizational skills and adaptability in a school-based setting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to maximize student progress
- Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups
- Maintain documentation in accordance with school and state regulations
- Consult with families to support carryover of communication strategies at home
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
