This full-time contract opportunity offers a rewarding role working with K-8 students who have severe behavioral needs. Providing 37.5 hours a week in a school setting located in Warwick, RI, this position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) within school settings.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to students with severe behavioral challenges across grades K-8.
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to meet students’ unique communication needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and other support staff to ensure integrated educational approaches.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and participate in comprehensive IEP meetings.
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet behavioral and academic demands throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license with CCC or current CFY status focused on school-based practice.
- Experience managing caseloads involving severe behavioral needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to a full-time, year-round schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
