An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from preschool through 8th grade in a school setting located in Wasco, CA. This contract position begins ASAP and extends through May 29, 2026. The role involves providing direct speech and language services, assisting with assessments, and ensuring students receive the necessary service minutes across multiple school locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students, ranging from preschool to 8th grade.
  • Assist with conducting speech and language assessments as needed.
  • Provide support across several school buildings, including Horizon Elementary, Browning Road, and Kern Avenue as a rover.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members and maintain focus on student needs despite environmental challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credentials with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working in school settings with Speech-Language Pathology services.
  • Ability to manage flexible caseloads without a predetermined number of students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying environments and prioritize student care.

Schedule and Details:

  • Contract position with a workweek of approximately 7.5 hours per day.
  • Daily hours from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • No teletherapy or assistant (SLPA) option available for this role at this time.
