This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within school environments. The role involves delivering specialized speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their academic potential. The work requires regular travel within the region, allowing for varied experiences across different educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports following school guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation as needed
- Travel to multiple school sites within the assigned area
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience providing speech-language therapy in school settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to manage caseloads independently with organizational skills
- Willingness and ability to travel between schools within the region
