This role is ideal for passionate SLP-CCCs eager to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents, from pre-kindergarten through middle school. With three positions available and start dates in late August, you’ll be part of a collaborative onsite team dedicated to fostering communication skills in a nurturing school environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active, valid SLP-CCC license for Connecticut.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting highly preferred.
- Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a range of speech and language disorders among school-aged children.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services onsite to students, tailored to their IEP goals and individualized needs.
- Complete thorough assessments and maintain appropriate documentation in line with district and state guidelines.
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff, providing guidance on strategies to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and collaborating on intervention planning.
- Support transitions between PreK, elementary, and middle school settings, ensuring continuity of care.
This contract offers a consistent 35-hour workweek with assignment dates and school locations scheduled in advance, providing structure and stability for the upcoming fall session.
