Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs in a vibrant educational environment near Waterbury, CT. Two full-time openings are available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to cover maternity leaves, providing critical services to K-12 learners. Each position offers immersive school-based experience within a dedicated team and the chance to make a real impact during key months of the academic year.

Details for each opening:

  • First position begins late September and continues through mid-December.
  • Second position is anticipated to start in mid-November, running through early January.
  • Both are onsite roles, supporting a diverse K-12 student body for 35 hours per week.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Valid and active Connecticut SLP licensure.
  • Proven school-based SLP experience.
  • Flexibility to serve K-12 populations as needed.
  • Ability to complete district-required fingerprinting and background checks.
  • Readiness for an interview conducted via Zoom.
  • Immediate or upfront possession of appropriate state licensing is highly preferred.
  • Please note, SLPAs are not being considered for these roles.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, conducting comprehensive assessments, maintaining documentation, and supporting students’ individual education goals—all within an onsite, collaborative school community.
