School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Waterbury, Connecticut

Step into a fulfilling contract role making a difference in elementary education as a full-time school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Support young learners by providing expert evaluation and therapy in a collaborative and dynamic environment. This position is onsite with a caseload focused on elementary students and may involve splitting time between two school sites, ensuring a variety of rewarding experiences throughout the week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Connecticut SLP license required
• Prior experience supporting students in a school-based environment
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly valued; strong preference for SLPs with CCC
• Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs); district supervision is available but limited, a supervisor will be provided when possible
• Must complete district fingerprinting and background check prior to starting
• SLPAs will not be considered
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate within an educational team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students, addressing communication, language, and articulation needs
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation and progress reporting
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed (all within a reasonable area)
