Step into an engaging, rewarding contract opportunity working with elementary students onsite in the Waterbury, CT area, supporting their communication development as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. Full-time availability (35 hours/week) is needed, with immediate start through June 11, 2027. A few openings are available, making this a great chance to work collaboratively in a school-based setting.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active Connecticut SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs welcome with supervisor provided
  • Strong background in school-based SLP practice
  • Experience working with elementary caseloads
  • Willingness to travel between two school sites if needed
  • Completed or able to complete fingerprint and background check as required by local regulations
  • Ability to start promptly and handle onsite responsibilities
  • Upfront licensing and credentials (no SLPAs accepted)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized plans tailored to student needs and goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication skills
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Manage schedule across potentially two school sites while meeting timelines and service requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative decision-making for students
