Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support to elementary-aged students in a resource classroom setting. This role focuses on working closely with five students in an autism program, fostering communication skills and independence. The assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through June 4, 2027, with the possibility of increased hours leading to a full-time schedule based on program needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly with elementary students
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students in a supportive resource classroom
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs, targeting functional communication
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and monitor student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance with IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student needs and progress
  • Adapt therapy techniques and approaches to meet diverse learning profiles and developmental levels
