This full-time role centers around the critical work of a speech-language pathologist, working Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 2:40pm, most likely serving a high school caseload. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Connecticut SLP licensure or eligibility
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience or strong interest in working with adolescents in a school setting
  • Solid knowledge of a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessments, diagnostics, and direct therapy services for students with communication needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s learning
  • Keep accurate records and track progress towards individualized goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student success
  • Consult on language, speech, and communication strategies as needed for school staff
