Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Watertown, Wisconsin

A rewarding opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide full-time coverage for a maternity leave serving early childhood through 3rd-grade students. This contract position is based near Watertown, WI, with time spent at sites including Hartford, and offers a supportive environment focused on collaborative and student-centered care.

You’ll play a vital role supporting students’ speech and language development, working within a dynamic 3:1 model—three weeks of direct therapy followed by one week focused on paperwork, testing, and collaboration. There’s potential for a shortened Friday, as current caseloads allow for a lighter schedule. The anticipated assignment begins around the end of October and spans approximately eight weeks, covering a typical school day: five days a week, eight hours per day.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) in Wisconsin
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) considered
• Experience in school-based settings, pediatrics, or teletherapy highly valued
• Familiarity working with early childhood through lower elementary-aged students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in EC-3rd grade, adapting to their individual needs
• Evaluate and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in the 3:1 service delivery model
• Support student progress and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
