Make a direct impact in young learners’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving elementary students in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering you the chance to work closely with a K-5 population in a full-time schedule from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm daily. With a manageable caseload of about 35 students, you’ll enjoy the ability to foster meaningful growth and individualized progress for each child.
What you’ll bring to this role:
- Valid SLP license, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) completed or in progress
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations highly valued
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Dedicated to delivering evidence-based speech and language services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with educators and families
Your key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders among K-5 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in eligibility meetings, annual reviews, and consultations as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with school and state standards
- Educate teachers and staff regarding strategies to support students within the classroom environment
- Foster positive and effective communication with parents and caregivers
