Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Wauconda, Illinois

This full-time, contract position is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a meaningful difference. You’ll collaborate closely with another experienced SLP, sharing caseload management and driving positive outcomes for children in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active or eligibility for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
• State licensure (or ability to obtain licensure prior to start)
• Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is an asset
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, collaboration, and student-centered care
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and support students with speech, language, or communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Provide both direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families
• Collaborate closely with another SLP to split caseload responsibilities efficiently
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
• Offer teletherapy services as necessary to maintain consistent student access
