Apply NowStep into an impactful opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working with high school and transitioning-age students, starting August 18, 2026, and concluding June 2, 2027. In this full-time position, you'll engage students who utilize assistive technology and present with complex communication needs, providing them with your expertise and care from 7:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.
As a valued professional in this environment, you'll blend advanced SLP skills with a deep understanding of educational technology, helping students become more independent and confident in their communication abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Previous experience working with high school or young adult students
- Strong background in assistive technology for communication
- Demonstrated success supporting students with complex or multiple needs
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and transition planning
- Excellent collaborative, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement speech and language intervention plans for students with a range of needs
- Integrate and manage assistive technology devices and communication tools
- Write and update IEPs, participate in team meetings, and support transition goals
- Provide direct, small group, or consultative services in accordance with each student’s plan
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, and service providers to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
