Key Qualifications:
- Current SLP-CCC certification required
- Experience in assistive technology is highly desirable
- Previous school-based SLP experience, particularly at the high school level, is a strong asset
- In-depth understanding of communication disorders and intervention strategies for adolescents
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and training to school staff regarding communication strategies and assistive technologies
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, interpreting results and developing recommendations
- Consult with multidisciplinary teams in all seven schools to optimize student success
- Stay current on innovative assistive technology tools and facilitate their use for students with communication needs
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to eligibility meetings and program planning sessions
