Step into a rewarding contract role serving high school and transitioning-aged students with complex needs. This full-time position starts August 18, 2026, and continues through June 2, 2027, offering the chance to make a profound difference in students' communication and academic growth. Work directly with students who rely on assistive technology to access learning and enhance their daily lives.
Hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours each week. With a focus on collaboration, you’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting students’ unique communication paths while promoting independence and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Prior experience working with high school-aged and transition-aged students.
- Competency with assistive technology for communication and instructional purposes.
- Ability to manage the needs of students with complex communication requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to high school and transitioning students.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing assistive technology.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to foster student progress.
- Adapt therapy approaches to support varying levels of ability and unique learning profiles.
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Offer guidance on implementing assistive technology in both classroom and community settings.
