Desired Background and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and comfort with technology
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with education and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
- Deliver speech and language therapy services in-person and/or via teletherapy
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address each student’s unique needs
- Track student progress and keep detailed records in line with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the evaluation and goal-setting process
- Maintain confidentiality and a high standard of ethical practice in all interactions
