Desired Background and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and comfort with technology
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with education and healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ communication abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
  • Deliver speech and language therapy services in-person and/or via teletherapy
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address each student’s unique needs
  • Track student progress and keep detailed records in line with school and legal requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the evaluation and goal-setting process
  • Maintain confidentiality and a high standard of ethical practice in all interactions
