An exciting contract opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about working with elementary-aged students. In this role, you will provide speech and language services that empower young learners to communicate effectively and gain confidence in their abilities. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP license and state credentials for school-based practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience with elementary populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in groups
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation of student progress
- Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate strategies and support students within the school setting
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and actively participate in case discussions
- Consult with families, teachers, and staff to ensure continuity of care and promote speech-language development
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and participate in ongoing professional learning
Key Details:
- Contract position, 1 opening available
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours weekly
- Daily hours: 8:20am – 3:50pm, Monday through Friday
- Assignment dates: October 14, 2026 through May 26, 2027
