Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting near Wayne, NJ. This role begins September 14th, 2026 (or slightly earlier for preparation) and continues through December 18th, offering valuable experience in a dynamic school environment.
Working directly with a caseload of approximately 45 K-5 students, you'll deliver 8-9 sessions daily at a single campus, providing focused services that make a real impact on communication skills and overall student success. This position welcomes candidates with a range of experiences, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, those holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and professionals interested in teletherapy or traditional onsite support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure by start date
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- School-based or pediatric SLP experience highly desired
- Teletherapy experience welcomed but not required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students K-5 presenting with varying communication needs
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based interventions as appropriate
- Utilize technology for teletherapy when needed
