Empower young learners as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-6 students in a dynamic elementary setting. This contract position provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working closely with a caseload of 25-30 students, many of whom receive speech-only services, alongside some students with dual diagnoses. With a focus on fostering communication growth, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team two days per week, ideally on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The typical workday runs from 8 AM to 3:30 PM, with instruction from 8:30 AM to 3 PM.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current Pennsylvania state SLP license
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish highly valued
- Previous school-based SLP experience, ideally with K-6 students
- Proficiency in supporting students with executive functioning, social learning, and selective mutism
- Familiarity with IEPWriter and Synergy platforms is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students (K-6), ensuring individualized support
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student goals, utilizing digital systems
- Employ evidence-based strategies to address diverse communication challenges
