Situated near Wedowee, AL, you’ll play a key role in fostering student communication skills while collaborating with other dedicated professionals.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- State licensure to practice as an SLP (or ability to obtain before the start date)
- Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly with Pre K-8 students, preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with teachers, families, and students
- Ability to adapt and manage a flexible caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services onsite, focusing on prevention, assessment, and intervention for Pre K-8 students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support overall student success and communication development
- Maintain thorough notes, progress reports, and required documentation in compliance with school system protocols
- Contribute to IEP meetings and ensure recommended services align with student needs
- Balance service delivery across a part-time schedule, approximately 16-24 hours per week throughout the school year
