This full-time opportunity places you in a collaborative school setting near West Chester, PA, where you will help students with a diverse range of needs, including those who are non-verbal.
Desired Background and Experience:
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in working with students who have varying disabilities, including non-verbal communicators
- Ability to create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable providing therapy across a wide age and grade range (K–8)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop functional and measurable goals tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to optimize communication outcomes
- Document sessions, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt and implement therapeutic activities for students with a variety of communication challenges, including AAC device users
