Make a meaningful impact supporting students ages 7–21 with high-level autism and complex communication needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated caseload of 30–35 children, primarily non-verbal, at a single school site. You’ll get to focus your expertise while collaborating with passionate educators in a structured, supportive environment.
You’ll enjoy a consistent 35-hour work week through the end of the school year, with opportunities to extend into ESY (July 6–August 21) and the next school year—offering lasting connections with your students. A combination of three days of onsite orientation and virtual onboarding prepares you for success.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP certification
- Active Educator Certificate
- Demonstrated experience with school-based SLP services
- Comfortable working with children and young adults ages 7–21, especially those with significant autism and non-verbal needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Must pass school onboarding requirements, including fingerprint clearance
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to a dedicated caseload
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies for non-verbal students
- Collaborate with teaching staff, specialists, and families for student success
- Maintain thorough records and progress documentation
